About Us
Healthynomics was founded by two Canadians who are passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. While we have worked with many people in the past in both clinical and sport settings, starting Healthynomics was a way to extend our reach.
We believe everyone has the power to improve his or her life. Healthynomics wants to help you achieve your health and wellness goals by empowering you to take ownership of your health. Healthynomics belongs to YOU, the reader, and we encourage interacting with the site to help us make a better health resource for all of our readers.

Garfield Crooks
Garfield brings 26 years of his unique personal and professional blend of practical knowledge and lifestyle practice to Healthynomics.
Whilst Garfield grew up firstly in England then later in Canada, living at home with his family meant he was always introduced to wholesome nutrition as prepared by his health-conscious parents. Unbeknown to him, the foundation of healthy nutrition was already being learnt. As a teenager Garfield joined track & field and through them, he pursued a healthier lifestyle through continued physical activity and specific nutrition.
Later he made the natural progression into the holistic health science profession and became a registered massage therapist. His professional ambition over the past 11 years has taken him around the world a number of times and he enjoyed working with the Canadian Olympic team in Athens & Beijing Summers Olympics Games team. Other activities include: working with Olympic medalists, world record holders, FIFA and National Basketball Association athletes.
As more and more people are becoming more concerned with their own health and well being, his contribution to Healthynomics, through offering sound and pragmatic information, has been a very natural and welcome move.
